Ex Ovo Orchestra - Live Session Download

24.12.2007
In February 2007 dronæment plays a liveset embedded in the e.t.a. Festival / Ex Ovo labelnight in Dresden AZ Conni. The final end of this evening ends up in a classical jam session where all artist sitting on the stage and pressing buttons and keys, turning knobs, playing drums or watching the El Topo Movie in the back, drinking beer or just listen what the other does. The whole evening was recorded and this jam session too. Dronæments track to the „Farewell Fields“ release was derivated from this evening, too. So the Ex Ovo Orchestra Session is a good additional to catch the spirit.

February, Dresden, 2007: The E.T.A. Festivalsaw into the mouth of its 10th anniversary. So for this special event we thought about some special performance taking place at the traditional E.T.A.-venue, the AZ Conni in Dresden. Via local musician Eric Heyde (aka Balog) the opportunity for a sudden idea called The Ex Ovo Orchestra came to birth: To bring some of the contributioners for the “I, Mute Hummings/Mute Scribbles”-samplers up on one single stage; performing one hour (+) of improvisation and confusion.

The Ex Ovo Orchestra for that night was:

Mirko Uhlig - electronics, bass, drone backbone
Tobias Fischer - electronics
Marcus Obst - tape loops, field recordings
Eric Heyde - vocals, manipulations
Steffen Glaeser - manipulations
Eisen - keyboard, electronics
Gregor Scheibe - drums, percussions
